Johnny Flynn & the Sussex Wit - "Tickle Me Pink"

Johnny Flynn, Tickle Me Pink Video

Don’t be fooled. Johnny Flynn may have the face of a teenager, but he’s armed with a musical voice far beyond his 25 years. With an appreciation for classic storytelling techniques, Flynn uses pastoral British folk stylings, with a variety of instruments ranging from the ukelele to the trumpet to the violin, to tell modern tales of life and death and everything in between (even including a number on Brit soccer star, Wayne Rooney). Flynn has just signed with Lost Highway Records (Ryan Adams, Elvis Costello, Fionn Regan) to release his Hong Kong Cemetry EP stateside as a prelude for his debut album, A Larum, coming this summer.

Catch Johnny Flynn and his band, The Sussex Wit, play a blues-tinged indie-folk songwriting gem, "Tickle Me Pink" that builds around Johnny’s steady baritone to a rollicking ferver. The video shows equal artistry with a surprisingly accurate-looking marionette alter-ego struggling through the day as the band dances and claps away.
