VIDEO FOR "WHO YOU ARE" by ingecolsen
Here is the video for the title track of the debut album Who You Are from Cary Brothers. Yahoo! Music premiered the "John Hughes" minded video that brings you back into those sweet highschool memories!
Cary wrote the treatment for the video himself, and the shoot caused him a broken foot, ouch!, but he continued to finish the full video. His close friends are are actors in the video, including Jim Bianco, Tim Jones and Chad Cunningham (Pink Enemy) and his girlfriend, Sarah Jones who's currently in HBO's "Big Love". The extras are all volunteers who were recruited through Cary's MySpace page http://www.myspace.com/carybrothers
In the fair city of Los Angeles, nestled among its movie studios and fault lines, lies Cary Brothers (first name Cary, last name Brothers). Cary's debut album, Who You Are, is an impassioned, charm-laced collection of his trademark blend of dreamy pop songs. His beautifully full-bodied music glows with a serene contentment -- a genuine, down-home allure. Who You Are is a delight from start to finish, marked by Cary's intimate, heartfelt vocals, clever melodies and astute lyrics.
Despite the fact that this is only his first full-length, Cary Brothers' songs have already appeared on the NBC sitcom Scrubs, the FOX mystery Bones, WB's Smallville, and the successful medical dramas Grey's Anatomy and ER. Brothers' lyrical ballad "Blue Eyes" was featured on the platinum-selling, Grammy-winning soundtrack to the hit indie film Garden State. And, this past summer, Brothers' song "Ride" (which can also be found on Who You Are) appeared on the soundtrack to the feature film The Last Kiss, starring Zach Braff, Rachel Bilson and Casey Affleck. Brothers has also performed on the The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and Scrubs.
