The sophmore self titled release from Long Island, New Yorks As Tall As Lions has a British influenced contemporary indie rock sound and draws from many different musical influences dating back over three decades. Think Sunny Day Real Estate meets Elbow or Doves meet The Police. The band recorded the album with Steven Haigler (Brand New, Fuel, Quicksand).
As Tall As Lions is Daniel Nigro (Vocals/Guitar/Piano), Saen Fitzgerald (Guitar) Cliff Sarcona (Drums) and Julio Tavarez (Bass/Vocals). It seems that Long Islands forever-burgeoning indie-rock scene has produced yet another act with prospects for a national spotlight. Listen up and see for yourself.
