"Since his first forays to acoustic playing at the end of his time in high school, James has begun to craft a distinct and magnetic sound that falls somewhere between Nick Drake and Sam Beam (or even Josh Ritter, Paul Simon, or Elliot Smith, depending who you ask). He’s delved into the intricacies of open tunings and elaborate finger-picking to create the subtle melodies and provocative guitar lines found in his songs. Through the years James has begun to realize the therapeutic aspects of songwriting, and thus his songs have become increasingly reflective and personal. His life so far has given him a wealth of experiences to draw on, both tragic and beautiful, and the music that results is just that. Now based out of Vancouver, James has recently completed his first album, “All In Good Time,” and is planning his first tour."
