Dogs are 5 close friends who got together to make music in the summer of 2002. Citing influences as diverse as The Clash, Happy Mondays, The Jam, Pixies and Velvet Underground, they have since gone on to make one of the finest debut albums the capital has ever produced, and are currently in the studio recording the follow-up record, set to be released at the beginning of Summer 2007.

Within 3 months of their first rehearsals at a down-at-heel practice space in Bethnal Green, East London, the band had recorded a 3-track demo which would quickly see them playing gig’s in and around Camden and attracting serious interest from the record industry. Shortly after, an historic live performance at ‘In the City’ saw a’n’r men around the country sniffing, the band finally signing to Island Records.

In the spring of 2004 Dogs went to Cornwall to record their debut album with legendary producer John Cornfield at Sawmills Studio - home to debut’s from Oasis and Supergrass. The first release from the record, London Bridge, was met with excitement by the media and public alike and the limited edition single sold-out within 24-hours of hitting the shelves.

Further singles were released in 2005, reaching the Top 40, 30 and 20 consequetively before Turn Against This Land came out in August 2005 to great acclaim by the UK’s credible media. They have since gone on to sell-out venues all over britain, making friends such as Paul Weller and Roger Daltry along the way, and gaining a cult-status with the british public along the way.

Their latest single ‘Soldier On’, released through new label Weekender Records, has seen Dogs reaching a new audience and spearheading a brit-rock revolution. Boasting a second album of incredible songs and an ever-growing fanbase 2007 is set to be a great year for Dogs.
