The Hours are Anthony Genn and Martin Slattery, between them they have played in Elastica, Pulp, Black Grape and Joe Strummer's Mescaleros. They have also worked with Grace Jones, Brian Eno, and UNKLE. They count Jarvis Cocker, Zane Lowe, Bono and Damien Hirst among their fans.

The first album from The Hours will be released on February 5. The Sunday Times have called it a 'deep, dark disturbing beauty of a debut album, stalked by Scott Walker, Radiohead and Gang of Four'
