Described by Londons XFM as one of Irelands most exciting emerging sounds for 2006, Limerick band Vesta Varro presented their debut double A side single Blue Mirror Boy / Supa Hero on Friday, February 10th, 2006 which reached number 33 in the Irish Charts and was A play listed on 2FM, Irelands biggest National radio station. Produced by Crowded House bassist Nick Seymour.

Vesta Varro's voracious live performances have led to a multitude of supports with the likes of Editors, The Thrills, Hal, BellX1, The Frank and Walters, Stiff Little Fingers, The Wonderstuff, Damien Dempsey, Dave Couse and The Republic Of Loose. They also appeared on the Bud Rising Festival line up, O2 In The Park and the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival.

Their Hot Press award winning video for their first E release Believe has been screened on MTV2. The track, Blue Mirror Boy, also hit the No. 1 spot in Irelands first underground MP3 charts.

Their growing legion of fans include Paul Cook, drummer with the legendary Sex Pistols, who approached the band after one of their London shows and bought a round!

Vesta Varro are: Damien Drea (vocals), Keith Forde (guitars), Peter Forde (guitars), Rod Smith (bass), and Shane Lee (drums). Though relatively new, having formed in 2004, a number of Vesta Varro band members have been writing and performing together for a few years.


VV start recording their debut album on July 17th 2006 in ledgendary recording studios Windmill lane in Dublin with producer Richard Rainey and engineer Kieran Lynch.
