Algo cambiados en su look, quizá ¿más rudos, o más oscuros o más bien menos gentlemen? vuelven The Killers. El adelanto para ir haciendo oido a su nuevo y segundo trabajo SAM's TOWN, es un tema que se puede escuchar en su MySpace llamado "When you were young".

La banda liderada por Brandon Flowers se dió a conocer con su album de debut Hot Fuss, que alcanzó gran éxito traspasando las fronteras americanas y llegando con facilidad al resto del mundo. El primer tema con el que les conoci fue su bailable y por qué no "divertida" "Somebody told me". Después vendrían temas como "All these things that I've done", la gran "Mr Brightside" con un video que me gustaba mucho,donde salia el actor Eric Roberts ...
Echando un vistazo a su Web, resulta muy gracioso picar en los links para cada sección, los cuales están escritos en inglés, y escuchar una voz diciéndolos en castellano. Y además puedes ver los videos de Hot Fuss, y según parece hay distintas versiones de algunos videos. Yo sólo conocía la versión americana de "Mr Brightside", y en el caso de "All these things that I've done" habia visto la versión UK.

Brandon got kicked out of his synth-pop band, named Blush Response, in late 2002 after refusing to move to L.A. with them. He realised after seeing Oasis perform in Vegas, that life needed more guitars. At the same time, David Keuning (Guitars), placed an add in a local Vegas Weekly looking for a singer who was into Oasis and Bowie. He was the only person to reply to my ad who wasnt a complete freak, remembers Dave, He came over with his keyboard and we started going through song ideas straight away. I had the verse to Mr Brightside and he went away and wrote the chorus. That was the first song we wrote together and remains the only song that weve played at every single Killers show. The first track they wrote was Mr Brightside which has been a massive success here in the UK. Mark Stoermer (Bass) and Ronnie Vannucci (Drums) then met the guys at a gig they were doing with a different rhythms section. Then after being tried out for the band, they joined.

After watching Crystal by New Order, they were inspired by a band in it pretending to be New Order but were actually known as The Killers. They saw this on the drummer's bass drum and stole it! It gave me the ambition that our actual band should be as perfect as their fictional band, said Brandon.
