A Place To Bury Strangers

A Place To Bury Strangers, To Fix A Gash In Your Head MP3
by Staff | 10.07.2007

For years, A Place To Bury Strangers has been considered one of the loudest bands in New York. Despite that prestigious distinction, their music has been unreleased until now. Their self-titled debut, out now on Killer Pimp, will be released on vinyl October 23rd courtesy of Important Records, and is sure to be blistering ears for years to come.

“To Fix A Gash In Your Head” begins a writhing mangled mess of tortured feedback. The noise comes to a peak and then is subdued by the docile yet assertive droning of singer Oliver Ackermann. This track presents two sides of musical perception- while the guitars present a sort of controlled chaos, the vocals present a more controlled view on the human condition.
