Strawberry Swing de Coldplay -VIDEO
Me enamoré del video de Oren Lavie en stopmotion y ahora parece una manera a la que se recurre bastante. No hay más que ver el último spot de Telefónica para promocionar sus 6mb, que es un calco del video de Oren Lavie. Ahora Coldplay se apunta a este estilo en su nuevo video :)

Empezamos la semana con un poco de música. Hoy se ha estrenado el nuevo vídeoclip de Coldplay para el single "Strawberry Swing".
El colectivo londinense, Shynola, que ya que anteriormente habían colaborado con artistas de la talla de Radiohead o Blur, ha realizado este soberbio vídeo con interminables horas de trabajo en stop-motion, jugando con perpectivas y dibujos con tizas de colores. El resultado es una espectacular aventura con Chris Martin como superhéroe en una peligrosa misión para rescatar a su amada de las garras de una malvada y surrealista ardilla gigante.
Además del estreno exclusivo en internet (Babelgum.com), el próximo miércoles 22 de Julio, el nuevo vídeo se proyectará en cines del Reino Unido, de forma previa al pase de las películas La proposición y Bruno. Aquí puedes verlo completo y en alta calidad tras el pertinente salto.

Good afternoon. As previously announced, Coldplay are to give away CDs of their new live album, LeftRightLeftRightLeft, at every remaining live show in 2009 (apart from festival shows), beginning with their West Palm Beach gig in Florida on Friday (May 15th).
Friday is also the day when the free download of the album will become available right here on Coldplay.com. If you want to be among the very first to have it, then set a reminder for 9am UK time, as we can now confirm that's when the download will be going live. We have another two big outdoor shows to announce for next summer. On Monday 31st August 2009, Coldplay will be playing at the Stadio Friuli in Udine, Italy. A few days later, on Friday 4th September, they'll roll into Barcelona, Spain to play at the Estadi Olimpic. Coldplay and Kylie Minogue have released a song for World AIDs Day. This track is part of a number that are being released by major artists as part of a new weekly music magazine that save lives.
For $5 a month you can sign up and receive new music from major artists every Wednesday. Half of that money will go towards buying medicine for people with HIV in Africa. To learn more about this click here

LOVERS IN JAPAN VIDEO PREMIERE
Hello again. We're pleased to announce that the new video for Lovers In Japan will be premiering on iTunes stores around the world today (Friday). What's more, folks in the US of A will be able to download it free of charge for a week. The video was made by Mat Whitecross in London. It's based on the new Osaka Sun mix of the song and features fireworks, butterflies and Guy on a trapeze.
LOST? VIDEO COMPETITION UPDATE The entries have been flooding in for our Lost? video competition - for which we're asking you to make a video for the acoustic version of the track. The winner will receive an all-expenses trip for two to see Coldplay in London in December, from wherever they live. A reminder that on November 10th, Lost! will be released as a four-track, digital-only EP across the world. It will feature Lost! (the original version), Lost? (the acoustic one), Lost+ (the one featuring Jay-Z) and Lost@ (the live one). Sadly, our suggestion to make a topical version called Lost$ (about the worldwide financial situation) appears to have fallen on deaf ears.

Coldplay "Viva la vida" VIDEOS
El que pusimos anteriormente en el blog, era para iTunes.
Resulta que hay dos videos de "Viva la vida", el oficial:
El video esta muy bien estéticamente, pero el Chris Martin se flipa un poco,no? Supongo que,por lo visto en el Especial que puso hace unas semanas La2, siguen siendo igual de humildes, lo cual es genial, pero ya tienen más tablas y eso hace que se suelten más, y nada se parezca al chiquillo tímido de "Yellow".
Como esta canción es totalmente para directo y para que la gente cante con la banda el Ohh ohhh... Me sigo quedando con los videos de esta canción en directo.
El segundo video, es una versión alternativa, concretamente un homenaje al "Enjoy the silence" de Depeche Mode.

La banda que acusó a Coldplay de plagio se retracta

After launching accusations that Coldplay plagiarized his band’s song, Creaky Boards frontman Andrew Hoepfner has now admitted that the allegations might be unfounded. While Coldplay has categorically denied the allegations, Hoepfner recently posted the following retraction at the end of his viral video:
“Well, it appears that Chris was actually recording in London during my October show and Coldplay demoed Viva La Vida in March 2007, before I taught my band “Songs” in June 2007. What’s most likely is that both Chris and I were inspired by The Legend of Zelda’s “Fairy Theme,” causing us to write similiar songs in 2006. What a coincidince! I guess Nintendo’s the big winner. But isn’t it weird how in 2008, an independent artist can make something in their bedroom that receives almost as much attention as EMI’s biggest marketing push of the year?”
In addition to bestowing a Biggest Douche of 2008 nomination, Christine Tarbet has discovered that an acquaintance of the Creaky Boards frontman is claiming the whole scandal is just an uncool publicity stunt.

Coldplay "Viva la vida" VIDEO OFICIAL ITUNES
Me encanta "Viva la vida" y según parece hay rumores fuertes de que la música de la canción es un plagio de un tema de la francesita Alizée llamado 'J'en ai marre' del 2003.

Y también se rumorea que otro tema es un plagio de una canción de una banda estadounidenses, según parece algunos de los Coldplay les vieron en directo, y la banda en cuestión les ha denunciado por plagio. A ver si me entero de quienes son.
Edito: Según parece Creaky Boards, y también les acusan a Coldplay de que su "Viva la vida" tiene similitudes con una de sus canciones. Gracias a Inadecuado.com podemos comparar.. Bueno os dejo el video que intercala ambas canciones, a ver qué opináis.
A pesar de todo, y si es verdad sería más fuerte que la "fatal" casualidad de la misma portada en el último disco de Interpol y Ola podrida. Coldplay sigue arransando. Las entradas para los dos conciertos en España han volado, aún teniendo ya un precio considerable. Y "Viva la vida" tiene algo que les encantara a los que les gusta cantar en los conciertos, "No cars go" de Arcade Fire se prestaba a ello, ya pusimos un video de lo que sucedió en el Summercase 07. Y "Viva la vida" con ese Ooo ooo oooouuuu va a ser de lo más cantando en el concierto, además que es un tema de sonido "alegre" y casi de podría decir "verbenero".
