No sabía que iban a sacar nuevo disco. Últimamente Zahara hace en sus conciertos una versión de su "Is there a ghost", el cual estaba incluido en CEASE TO BEGIN. A ver qué tal su tercer trabajo llamado INFINITE ARMS.

Edito 11-Abril-2010, como ha desaparecido de rcrdlbl, os lo subo para que lo escuchéis. Al principio se me hizo raro escucharla, acostumbrada a canciones más oscuras o de sonido meláncolico, pero hoy me está gustando, es más luminosa y hoy se me hace menos extraño, que el primer día que le escuché.

Gran tema del último trabajo de Band of Horses. El video no es muy allá, sólo es una excusa para darte a conocer este tema por si aún no lo conoces. Hubo gente que tardó en escuchar su temazo Funeral, lo mismo también te ha pasado con éste. Para Polaco (por incluirlo en su última recopilación) y DasYuden (por gustarle BOH, y por pensar incluir No one's gonna love you, aunque al final, a él y a mi se nos quedara fuera de la recopilación) de Cajatonta.tv .

Grizzly Bear -FRIEND

Si Stars dejaron que sus amigos versionaran enterito su Set Yourself on Fire. Ahora parece que también Grizzly Bear dejarán a otros que versionen algunas de sus canciones.

El próximo 5 de noviembre se editará Friend, el nuevo lanzamiento de los neoyorquinos Grizzly Bear. Se trata de la primera referencia de la banda desde Yellow House (2006), un ep de diez temas en el que los de Brooklyn han incluido nuevas grabaciones de temas de sus anteriores álbumes -una de ellas junto a Beirut y The Dirty Projectors-, alguna canción inédita, una versión de The Crystals y -lo más curioso- tres de sus temas interpretados por Cansei de Ser Sexy (CSS), Band Of Horses y Atlas Sound -es decir, Deerhunter-.

Band of Horses - Funeral VIDEO

Con muchas ganas de escuchar el nuevo disco de Band of Horses. Si este año, la música que me ha dejado :o ha sido la de Cloud Cult, el pasado año fue la canción Funeral de Band of Horses, de su trabajo Everything all the time:
Achieving musical transcendence is a tricky feat, almost definitively. If it happens at all, it happens naturally and perhaps nobody knows that better than Seattle, Washingtons Band of Horses. Guitarist/vocalist Ben Bridwell and guitarist Mat Brooke formed Band of Horses in 2004, after the dissolution of their nearly ten-year run in northwest melancholic darlings Carissas Wierd. Carissas Wierd trafficked in sadly beautiful orchestral pop, whose songs told unflinching stories of heartbreak and loss, leavened with defeatist humor. And, Band of Horses rises from the ashes of that well-loved band. After playing music with each other for over a decade, Bridwell and Brooke picked up together again when Bridwell began fleshing out his compositions post-Carissas. It was really just a natural thing we started doing, explains Bridwell. Buoyed by Bridwells warm, reverb-heavy vocals (which strangely channel a dichotomous blend of Wayne Coyne, Brian Wilson and Doug Martsch,) Band of Horses woodsy, dreamy songs ooze with amorphous tension, longing and hope. At times raggedly epic (The Great Salt Lake) and delicately pensive (St. Augustine, Monsters), Everything All the Time is an album painted gorgeously in fragile highs and lows.
