Certain Circles is a musical collaboration that was formed in Kansas City during the summer of 2005. Its’ two members, Tommy Johnson and Dave Semro, have been working on this project on and off since 2001 when they met while working for the same employer. Their sound can be described as a synthetic mix of ambient keyboards, rhythmic beats, and acoustic guitars, complemented by the desperate and haunting vocals of lead singer Tommy Johnson. While the two members now live in different cities, musical ideas are shared via the internet, which is a series of tubes, whereby information can be passed from computer to computer.
